SecurePass Generator ("us", "we", or "our") operates the example.com website (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

1. Information Collection and Use

We are committed to your privacy. Our core password generation tools are designed to operate entirely client-side, within your web browser.

  • Generated Passwords: We DO NOT collect, store, transmit, or have access to any passwords you generate using our tools. The generation process happens locally on your device.
  • Password History: The "Password History" feature is session-based and stores data locally in your browser's memory for the current session only. This data is not sent to our servers and is cleared when you close your browser tab or window.

2. Usage Data (Analytics)

We may collect information on how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g., IP address, anonymized where possible), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

This data is collected to:

  • Improve and maintain our Service
  • Monitor the usage of our Service
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues
We may use third-party services like Google Analytics for this purpose. These services have their own privacy policies. We configure these services to respect user privacy, including IP anonymization where available.

3. Cookies

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

Examples of Cookies we may use:

  • Session Cookies: We may use Session Cookies to operate our Service.

4. Contact Forms

If you choose to contact us via a contact form, we will collect the information you provide (such as your name, email address, and message) solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. We will not use this information for marketing purposes unless you explicitly consent.

5. Security of Data

The security of your data is important to us. While no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect any Personal Data we might incidentally collect (like through analytics or contact forms). As stated, generated passwords are not collected by us.
